Meditation Teacher
and Advocate for Well-being

Juliana Klinkert is a dedicated meditation teacher and advocate for mental well-being, with a unique approach that emphasizes practical, everyday applications of meditation practices. Born and raised in Colombia, Juliana’s journey into the world of meditation and calming techniques began at a young age, sparked by a book she discovered in her mother’s library. This initial curiosity led her to explore various philosophies and techniques across the globe.

Juliana’s academic background in advertising from a prestigious Colombian university provided a solid foundation for her later pursuits. Driven by a desire to understand and manage emotions more effectively, she ventured to Nepal to study Buddhist philosophy and later traveled to Thailand to delve into Thai Buddhism. Her quest for knowledge didn’t stop there; she also became a certified life coach through the International Coaching Federation (ICF) in Colombia and furthered her studies with a diploma in business coaching, enhancing her understanding of human psychology and behavior.

For the past eight years, Juliana has been working closely with individuals impacted by the justice system in California. Her work with Michel Pascal, focusing on “Meditation for Daily Stress,” has brought profound changes to the lives of many, including those transitioning from incarceration, sheltered homeless individuals, and faculty members in related foundations. Her approach is rooted in making meditation accessible and beneficial in daily life, moving away from traditional quiet-room practices to methods that integrate seamlessly into the chaos of everyday existence.

Juliana is deeply influenced by the teachings of Milarepa and Saint Therese of Avila. Milarepa, transformed from a vengeful youth to a revered yogi, emphasized dedication and personal effort to overcome past misdeeds and attain enlightenment. He said, “Do not seek revenge, for it only serves to perpetuate a cycle of suffering.” Saint Therese of Avila, who holds a special place in Juliana’s heart, inspires her with, “The important thing is not to think much but to love much; and so do that which best stirs you to love.

In addition to her work with nonprofits, Juliana is an engaging public speaker and has guided meditations in public spaces such as Times Square for Peace Day 2023 and Carnegie Hall on two occasions, among many others. As a life coach, she incorporates these calming techniques to guide employees at for-profit organizations, helping them reduce the daily stress they face at work—a stress not unlike that encountered in nonprofit work.

Juliana’s dedication extends beyond teaching; she is also a passionate content creator, sharing engaging and relatable stories through various media channels. Her Instagram content, tailored for women in the nonprofit sector, emphasizes the importance of self-care and meditation without the typical “hippie” jargon, using bright colors and inspirational quotes to foster a sense of community and support.

In her YouTube series, Juliana combines real-life experiences with guided meditations, creating a space where viewers can find peace and clarity. Her videos not only offer practical meditation techniques but also share powerful stories from her students, highlighting the transformative impact of meditation on their lives. This blend of storytelling and practice helps demystify meditation, making it accessible and appealing to a broader audience.

Juliana’s philosophy is deeply influenced by Saint Therese of Avila’s concept of love with detachment, aiming to educate and raise awareness through her content. She believes in the power of a smile , encouraging her audience to find joy and peace in the midst of their daily challenges.

Juliana Klinkert continues to inspire and guide individuals on their journey to mental well-being, leveraging her diverse experiences and compassionate approach to make meditation a practical tool for everyone.
